Urgent veterinary care is for illness or injuries that require prompt attention but are not typically serious enough for a trip to the emergency room. As of January 2023, we are able to provide general preventative medicine services like vaccines, spays and neuters.

Diagnostics

We are a full service clinic. We are equipped with most of the diagnostics available at a veterinary ER hospital, including:

Digital X-rays (with access to assessment by a board-certified radiologist)
Blood work (CBC, chemistry, electrolytes, blood gas, clotting times)
Urinalysis
Urgent Ultrasound (to assess for any abdominal or thoracic free fluid)
Tonometry (eye pressure testing)
EKG, pulse oximetry
Blood Pressure Monitoring

We are prepared to perform various procedures including, but not limited to:

Urinary Blockage
Porcupine Quill Removal
Wound Management
Broken Bones/Trauma
Trouble Birthing
Major Urgent Surgical Procedures
Spays and Neuters

How it works.

We will be open for same day / same week appointments 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm. For an urgent appointment call 902-444-1644. If we are fully booked you may be able to drop your pet off for the day and pick them up after they’ve been seen.
